Jean Claude is a business professional with over 20 years of experience in marketing, government, and corporate communication. He holds a Master’s of Arts in political science from the University of Kwazulu-Natal Pietermaritzburg, South Africa, a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication and Journalism from the University of Arkansas, USA, and an International Baccalaureate with an emphasis on Mathematics and Philosophy from Lycee Sainte Croix Des Neiges in France. Jean Claude was the 2019 recipient of the Global Impact Award which honors people making a positive impact in the development world.

Jean Claude is currently the Executive Director at Agahozo-Shalom Youth Village (ASYV) where he has created global partnerships, which enable the organization to continually and positively impact vulnerable youths in Rwanda and the region. He was also responsible for launching a USD 20 million endowment fund for the sustainability of ASYV. Before joining ASYV, Jean-Claude was the General Manager at Saatchi & Saatchi which is a global creative communication company. He is the Founder and Managing Partner of XL Com and previous official representative of Draka Comteq, a cable manufacturer and SIMED International which focuses on designing and constructing hospital buildings and equipping them with medical equipment. Prior to that, he worked in the Office of the President of the Republic of Rwanda in the Communication Department and the Office of State Protocol, respectively.
